    Liverpool and Egypt superstar Mohamed Salah has been named the CAF African footballer of the year award for 2018.
    Salah won the prize ahead of Liverpool teammate Sadio Mane and Arsenal star Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. He has claimed the prize back-to-back, joining the likes of El Hadji Diouf, Samuel Eto'o and Yaya Toure who has also won the award on a back-to-back basis.

    South Africa's Thembi Kgatlana has won the CAF African Women player of the year award for 2018 ahead of Nigerian duo Francisca Ordega and Assisat Oshoala. It's well deserved as Kagtlana had an amazing Woman Nations Cup last year claiming the woman of the tournament and also crowned the highest goalscorer with five goals.
