Manchester United out of the Carabao Cup

Manchester United are out of the Carabao Cup after a defeat to Derby County at Old Trafford.
Following a 2-2 draw after 90 mins, Frank Lampard's side secured an 8-7 victory on penalties as Phil Jones missed out from the spot. Not a wonderful way for United to get going this season with series of criticism from the media since the start of the season and only time will tell if they can turn things around for good.
Manchester United have failed to win any of their last five penalty shootouts in all competitions with 3 times in the league cup and once in each of FA Cup and Community Shield.

Manchester City started their Carabao Cup campaign brilliantly with a 3-0 win over Oxford United thanks to goals from Gabriel Jesus, Riyad Mahrez and Phil Foden.
Phil Foden is the first player born from year 2000 upward to score a goal for Manchester City in a competitive game. He is 18 years and 120 days.
