| Liverpool held at Everyone to a goalless draw |
Liverpool slip up in the title race after playing a goalless draw in the Merseyside derby against Everton yesterday.
The Reds had much of the chances as Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino failed to convert and they now stand second on the league table with 70 points, one point behind Manchester City who are first. Everton however stand in 10th position.
There wasn't much to be expected from a Merseyside derby as most of them are always an end-to-end affair and of the 200 Premier League games between Liverpool and Everton, 34 have ended in goalless draws which is 15 more goalless draws than any other kind of English league fixture in history.
This is the second time in the last three Premier League matches Liverpool have failed to score, meanwhile they only failed to score once in their previous 27 games.
This is the first time as a Liverpool player that Mohamed Salah would fail to score in three Premier League games.
