| David De Gea made 11 saves to deny Tottenham |
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer made it six wins in six games as Manchester United defeated Tottenham away from home by 1-0 win.
Marcus Rashford scored the lone goal following a Paul Pogba's pinpoint pass just at the end of the first half. Manchester United however had David De Gea to thank for the win as the Spaniard made as many as 11 saves on the night, denying Tottenham from finding the back of the net for most of the second half. Wonderful team spirit display from United players out there and they are still sixth but are now level on 41 points with Arsenal who are fifth with just two goals difference. Tottenham are however standing third with 48 points.
Solskjaer has now won his first five league games for Manchester United as a manager, equalling Matt Busby's record.
For the first time since May 2015, Tottenham have now lost consecutive Premier League home matches. They have now lost a total of four home games this season, that's double the home matches they lost in their last two Premier League seasons.
Manchester United kept consecutive clean sheets for the first time this season and as many as they kept in their first 20 matches this season.
Marcus Rashford has now scored in three successive Premier League matches for the very first time in his career.
Paul Pogba has scored four goals and provided four assists since Solskjaer took over at the club, having a hand in 53% of the Premier League goals scored under the manager.
Only against Arsenal in December 2017 did De Gea make more Premier League saves (14) than today where he made 11.
Harry Kane took a total of seven shots in this match without getting a goal.
Lionel Messi reached a milestone of 400 Laliga goals as Barcelona comfortably defeated Eibar 3-0. Messi only scored one while Luis Suarez scored a brace.
Real Madrid had Dani Ceballos to thank as he scored the winning goal late in the second half to give the Santiago Bernabeu side a 2-1 away win at Real Betis. Luka Modric also got on the score sheet.
