Manchester City trashed Rotherham United 7-0 to move into the FA Cup fourth round.
Raheem Sterling, Phil Foden, Gabriel Jesus, Nicolas Otamendi, Riyad Mahrez and Leroy Sane all got on the score sheet as Semi Ajayi scored an own goal in between. Ilkay Gundogan made four assists and that was the first time that would happen in a top flight English game since Santi Cazorla's four assists against Wigan in 2013. No surprises, City were expected to win despite Pep Guardiola making eight changes from his last match.

There were major FA Cup upsets yesterday as Fulham and Leicester bow out of the competition following 2-1 loss to Non-premier league sides Oldham and Newport respectively.

Real Madrid slipped to a major Laliga home defeat losing to Real Sociedad 2-0 while Luis Suarez and Lionel Messi scored a goal each to secure a 2-1 win for Barcelona over Getafe. Atletico Madrid however settled for a 1-1 draw against Sevilla.
