Manchester City ended unlucky Liverpool's 20 Premier League unbeaten run in the Red's 21st game of the season thanks to a 2-1 victory over the Jurgen Klopp's side.
It was a match of high performances from both ends but it was Manchester City that came out on top and they reduced the gap at the top of the table. Sergio Aguero scored first just before half-time to give City the lead, only for Roberto Firmino to equalize in the second half just after the hour mark. Leroy Sane however gave City the victory and Manchester City are now second with 50 points, four points behind leaders Liverpool and two points above third Tottenham.
Manchester City have won for the second time in their last 12 games in all competitions against Liverpool, they've drawn three and lost seven.
Aguero has since 2011/12 season scored 37 Premier League goals in meetings between the big six, 16 more than any other player.
