Manchester City slip to third; Tottenham go second

Manchester City slipped to third on the log as Leicester City defeated the Etihad side by 2-1.
Bernardo Silva scored first for Manchester City, but goals from Marc Albrighton and Ricardo Pereira was enough for Leicester City to do the damage. That's City's third Premier League loss in their last four matches and it's starting to become a major concern as they now stand seven points behind Liverpool.
City have now lost consecutive Premier League matches for the first time since December 2016.
Leicester City have now won their last two league games against the big six, as many as they won in their previous 19 against those teams.
Guardiola has lost a total of 11 Premier League games and six of them have come in December.
Arsenal dropped two points at Brighton as Unai Emery's side struggled to hold on to a 1-1 draw. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang took his Premier League goal tally to 13 with his goal but Jurgen Locadia scored for the first time in his last 18 Premier League matches to equalize for Brighton. Arsenal are still 5th with 38 points, two points behind 4th Chelsea.
Brighton have only lost two of their last 12 home Premier League matches, they've won five and drawn five. They have failed to win any of their last 10 games on boxing day since 2005/06.
This is the first time in 17 Premier League games that Arsenal would fail to score in the second half.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has scored 23 goals and assisted seven in his 32 Premier League games for Arsenal.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer became the fifth manager for Manchester United to win his first two league matches in charge as the Old Trafford side secured all three points in their 3-1 win over Huddersfield. Nemanja Matic was on the score sheet while Paul Pogba stole the show with a brace. United are still 6th with 32 points and six points behind 5th Arsenal.
United are yet to lose a home league match on Boxing day since 1978/79.
Huddersfield are the fourth side in Premier League history to lose six games in a calendar month.
Jesse Lingard assisted in consecutive games for the first time in his professional career, he has scored four and assisted two in his last five Premier League appearances.

Liverpool moved six points clear at the top of the Premier League table thanks to a 4-0 win over Newcastle. Dejan Lovren, Mohamed Salah, Xherdan Shaqiri and Fabinho all got on the score sheet as Liverpool move to 51 points.
Liverpool are the fourth Premier League side in history to go unbeaten at the halfway stage of the season. Arsenal 2003/04, United 2010/11 and City 2017/18.
Jurgen Klopp has now won 100 games as Liverpool manager in what was his 181st match as the club's boss.
Mohamed Salah has scored 25 goals and assisted 10 in his 28 Premier League home games for Liverpool.
Shaqiri has now scored four goals in his last four league matches, one more than he had in his previous 20.
Tottenham were in excellent form as they trashed Bournemouth by 5-0 and they move to second on the table with 45 points. Heung-min Son scored a brace while Harry Kane, Lucas Moura and Christian Eriksen all scored one each.
Tottenham are yet to draw a single Premier League game this season.
Eriksen has scored a total of 18 Premier League goals from outside the box, more than any Tottenham player in history. He has now assisted Harry Kane 18 times in the league.
Son has scored seven goals and assisted another three in his last 10 Premier League games.

| Eden Hazard scored a brace for Chelsea |
Eden Hazard scored a brace to secure all three points for Chelsea as they beat Watford 2-1. The Belgian scored his 100th and 101st goal for the club in all competitions, becoming the 10th player to achieve that feet for Chelsea. Chelsea are still 4th but now with 40 points and four points behind third Manchester City.
Watford has now lost three of their last four games, as many as they lost in their first 13 home league matches.
