Liverpool Chances of Knockout Qualification to go Down the Wire

PSG defeat Liverpool with a 2-1 victory

Liverpool's qualification to the Champions League knockout stage hangs on the wire following a 1-2 loss to PSG in France.
James Milner's penalty goal just before half-time was not enough to cancel out Juan Bernat and Neymar's first half goals and Liverpool leave it all to do at home against Napoli on December 11. Jurgen Klopp's side will have to defeat the Italian side with at least a two-goal margin to go straight into the next round of better still a 1-0 victory depending on PSG's result against Crvena Zvezda on the day.
PSG have now won 50 Champions League matches from just 95 games, only Real Madrid and Barcelona have done it quicker with 88 and 93 matches respectively.
This is the first time in history that Liverpool would lost four successive away Champions League or European Cup games.
Since losing 1-3 to CSKA Moscow in December 2004, PSG have gone on unbeaten in their last 21 home Champions League matches with 16 wins and five draws.

Tottenham secured an emphatic win to retain hopes of getting into the next round as the fight between them and Inter Milan on who to qualify for the knockout stage goes down until the last day. Christian Eriksen scored the only goal to give Tottenham a resounding victory over Inter. Both teams now have seven points with -1 goal difference and if Tottenham will qualify, they will have to beat Barcelona in their last group stage match. It however seems easier for Inter Milan to beat PSV than for Tottenham to defeat Barcelona.
Tottenham won a back-to-back Champions League game for the first time since December 2017 where they had a run of three games.
Inter Milan have draw one and lost two of their last three Champions League matches.
Of the last eight Champions League goals by Tottenham, seven have been scored in the second half.

Barcelona secured a place in the next round with the top spot thanks to a 2-1 win over PSV Eindhoven with goals from Lionel Messi and Gerard Pique. Messi scored his sixth Champions League goal of the season and they move to 13 point in their group.
