Manchester City secured their first set of points of the Champions League campaign thanks to a hard-fought victory over Hoffenheim coming from a goal down to get a 2-1 win.

Manchester City are yet to lost in their last six Champions League matches against German sides, with five wins and one draw.
Hoffenheim have lost six and drawn three of their previous 10 matches in European competitions.
Hoffenheim scored after 43 seconds through Ishak Belfodil, this was the quickest Champions League goal ever against an English side since El Shaarawy who scored after 39 seconds against Chelsea in October 2017.

Manchester United were held to a goalless draw at home by Valencia as their winless home run continues, extending to four winless games at Old Trafford, their longest run since under Louis van Gaal in 2015.
This is the first time in Jose Mourinho's managerial career he would go four consecutive home matches in all competitions without a single win.

Real Madrid's goalscoring drought continues as they bow at the feet of CSKA Moscow who defeated them by 1-0. The departure of Cristiano Ronaldo continues to hunt them and it remains to seen how well they will work things out.
