Liverpool and Manchester City had to share the points in the top of the table clash as Riyad Mahrez blasted City's chance to take all points over the post from the penalty spot.
It was not a match of too many chances with both teams being on their toes in order not to give in to little mistakes.
The last time Manchester City defeated Liverpool at Anfield was a 1-2 victory in May 2003, 18 games after at the ground, Liverpool have won 12 and drawn six.
Pep Guardiola has only won one of his last eight games against Jurgen Klopp, he has drawn three and lost four.
Liverpool now have 20 points after eight matches, their joint most in a Premier League season after eight games having done the same in 1996/97 and 2008/09.
Liverpool have won six and drawn eight of their last 14 home games against the Premier League top six.
This is the second time in history that as many as three club's would still be on unbeaten run after eight games, Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester City. The last time this happened was in 2011/12 for Manchester City, Manchester United and Newcastle.
Chelsea were absolutely in wonderful form as they blasted three goals without reply past Southampton. The goalscorers were Eden Hazard, Ross Barkley and Alvaro Morata. The match ended in a 3-0 victory for Chelsea.
Since losing 3-1 under manager Jose Mourinho in October 2015, Chelsea have won each of their last six Premier League matches against Southampton.
Eden Hazard has scored six goals and assisted five in his 15 appearances in all competitions against Southampton.
This is the first time since October 2016 that Hazard would score and assist in the same Premier League game.
Southampton have only had seven points in their last 26 Premier League games against the top six, that's seven draws in the last three seasons.
Arsenal ran riot at the Craven Cottage blowing away Fulham in a 5-1 victory. Both Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang got a brace and Aaron Ramsey scored a classic goal to take Arsenal to 18 points and 4th on the table. That's six Premier League wins in a row for the Gunners after losing the first two games of the season.
This is the first time since April 2015 that Arsenal would win nine consecutive matches in all competitions.
Arsenal now have a 51.5% win rate in London derbies in the Premier League, the highest rate in the league. Fulham have 20.7%, the lowest in the league.
Fulham are the only team yet to keep a Premier League clean sheets this season and they have also conceded the most goals so far this season with 21 goals.
Arsenal have now won four of their last five Premier League away games, they only had four in the previous 19.
Barcelona had to settle for a point as Lionel Messi came to the rescue to secure a 1-1 draw against Valencia. Barcelona are now second on the La Liga table with Sevilla leading the table.
