Roberto Firmino scores for Liverpool last night

Roberto Firmino came to the rescue as Paris Saint-Germain bow to Liverpool with a 3-2 defeat at Anfield.
Liverpool got the early 2-0 lead with goals from Daniel Sturridge and James Milner in the first half but Thomas Meunier reduced the deficit to 2-1 before half-time. In the second half, goals didn't come until the 83rd minute when Kylian Mbappe equalized to make it 2-2, only for Roberto Firmino to come on as a substitute to secure the late winner for Jurgen Klopp's side.
This is the first time since 1961/62 season that Liverpool would win their first six matches of the season.
PSG have not won any of their last five Champions League games against Premier League sides and the last time they kept a clean sheet in the last 13 games against an English side was against Chelsea in 2004/05 season.
James Milner has scored 13 penalties in all competitions for Liverpool since he joined them in 2015, only Sergio Aguero and Harry Kane are Premier League players to have scored more with 17 and 15 respectively.
Daniel Sturridge has scored twice and assisted two others in his last four appearances for Liverpool in the Champions League.

Tottenham surrendered a 1-0 lead at the San Siro as Inter Milan left it late to defeat Mauricio Pochettino's side by 2-1. Christian Eriksen got the goal for the Spurs but Mauro Icardi and Matias Vecino both had a different idea as Tottenham lost three matches in a row with all ending in 2-1 defeats.
In their last 10 European away matches against Italian clubs Tottenham have drawn 4 and lost 5.
Mauro Icardi has now scored in each of his last three European games after previously with only one in 11 games.
Inter Milan have only lost one of their last five Champions League games against English clubs, winning the remaining four, the loss came against Tottenham.

Lionel Messi with a brilliant hat-trick as 10-man Barcelona smashed PSV 4-0. Ousmane Dembele was also on the score sheet as the Camp Nou side started the Champions League campaign in fine fashion.
Lionel Messi has now scored 8 Champions League hat-trick, one more than any other player- Cristiano Ronaldo has 7. Messi's hat-trick was his 42nd for Barcelona.
In their last 27 Champions League matches at home, Barcelona have won 25, the last defeat was 3-0 against Bayern Munich in 2013.
PSV have drawn 4 and lost 5 of their last 9 Champions League matches, failing to win any match.
Only Raul and Cristiano Ronaldo have scored against more different sides in the Champions League than Lionel Messi. Messi now has 30, Raul 33 and Ronaldo 32.
Lionel Messi has scored the most direct free-kicks he has ever scored in a single year, he now has eight this year.
