    Lyon stunned Manchester City in the Champions League

    Lyon stunned Manchester City in the absence of Pep Guardiola with a 2-1 victory at the Etihad Stadium.
    Lyon were 2-0 up in the first half thanks to goals from Maxwel Cornet and Nabil Fekir before Bernardo Silva could only reduce the deficit to 2-1 in the second half.
    Manchester City have now lost four consecutive Champions League matches, the first Premier League side in history to achieve that and they are the second English side after Tottenham to lose three consecutive Champions League home matches.
    Lyon have won two and drawn two of their last four Champions League matches.
    This is the first time since November 2015 against Liverpool that Manchester City would be 2+ goals down at half-time.
    Nabil Fekir has in all competitions had a hand in 35 goals for Lyon since the start of last season with 25 goals and 10 assists. Only Memphis Depay who has been involved in 43 goals has had a hand in more for Lyon.

    Real Madrid were in fine form smashing three goals past Roma to secure a 3-0 victory with goals from Isco, Gareth Bale and new boy Mariano Diaz.
    Since their 0-2 loss to Barcelona in the semi-final of the 2010/11 Champions League season, Real Madrid have scored at least once in every of their last 43 home matches in the Champions League winning 35, drawing six and losing just two.
    Roma have conceded a total of 16 goals in their last five away Champions League matches, losing all the five games.
    Gareth Bale has now scored three goals in his last two Champions League matches for the Spanish side after previously scoring just three in his last 27 for the side.

    Manchester United had an easy ride against the Young Boys last night thanks to a brace from Paul Pogba and another goal from Anthony Martial to end the match with a 3-0 victory.
    Manchester United have now won three of their last five Champions League away matches, drawing one and losing the other.
    This is Manchester United's biggest away Champions League win without conceding a goal since the 5-0 win against Bayern Leverkusen in November 2013.

    Cristiano Ronaldo saw red as 10-man Juventus defeated Valencia 2-0 away from home thanks to a brace from Miralem Pjanic.
