A chat interview with a Barcelona fan.


SSN; So, can we meet you sir?

Tosin; Falode Tosin.

SSN; You are a Barcelona fan I suppose.

Tosin; Yes

SSN; What do you think about the Neymar move to PSG?

Tosin; I think Neymar wanted new challenges. Obviously, to be the star man of the team. Nice move for him.

SSN; Many Barcelona fans feel betrayed, do you feel the same?

Tosin; Haha, Not at all, No player is obligated to stay at a club for life. To me Neymar left through the front door.

SSN; There has been speculations that he won't be paid a certain loyalty allowance which definitely depicts that Barcelona as a whole never wanted him out.

Tosin; Yes i heard. He should take Barcelona to court if he feels it is a breach in agreement otherwise he should keep shut.

SSN; He was an integral part of the team most especially the attack, so what next about replacing him?

Tosin; Of course he was, but there are lot of players that could feel the void. The board just need to spend right for the right players.

SSN; Who do u think is the best replacement for now?

Tosin; I would love to see Dybala at Barcelona. My own view.

SSN; Can Dybala really be a complete replacement for Neymar?

Tosin; One thing is certain, There won't be another Neymar. The aim is to rebuild the team under the new coach. Am completely sure Dybala will add value to the team.

SSN; There has been speculations about Liverpool Phillipe Coutinho, don't you think he can as well do a good job?

Tosin; Coutinho is a great player, one of the best in the Premier League but he might not be able to fit in perfectly to that role. Nonetheless, he will order more options in goal if he eventually comes.

SSN; Apart from strengthening the forward line, any other place in the team that needs more players?

Tosin; The midfield. Coutinho will fit perfectly there.

SSN; But there is still the likes of Iniesta, Rakitic in midfield, why need for an additional midfielder?

Tosin; Well midfielders are never too much in a team. I will be happy if Barcelona can get 10 of them this window.

SSN; Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger said something; " too much competition is detrimental to the team"

Tosin; I won't agree with that totally. When there is tight competition every player will perform at their heroic best. Nobody loves the bench.

SSN; Apart from midfield, do you think the defense is standard enough?

Tosin; Yes. There many options at the back, Except Mathieu that has gone and possibly Vermaleen I don't think anyone else is leaving.

SSN; How well can Barcelona compete with Real Madrid this season?

Tosin; Well all due respect to Real Madrid fans, Real madrid was never a threat to Barcelona. If we can fix our team then I see us reclaiming the spotlight once again.

SSN; So do u think a trophy is certain for Barcelona this season?

Tosin; A trophy will be an understatement. The goal is to win all.

SSN; And are u certain Barcelona will win all trophies?

Tosin; Lets see what the season brings but am optimistic we can equal the record we set in 2009. The board should just do their work to sign new players and leave the rest to the team.
