It was total humiliation for Chelsea at the Etihad Stadium yesterday as Manchester City ran riot with a 6-0 win over Maurizio Sarri's side.
Sergio Aguero scored his 11th Premier League hat-trick, the most by any other player in history - joint by Alan Shearer at the top in what was his second hat-trick in eight days; after he also scored a treble again Arsenal in the previous weekend. Raheem Sterling scored a brace and Ilkay Gundogan also scored a goal. Manchester City moved back to the top of the Premier League table with 65 points level with Liverpool (who still have a game in hand) but with a higher goal difference. Chelsea meanwhile moved to sixth on the table with 50 points and 16 goals level with Arsenal who are fifth on points and goals and just one point behind fourth Manchester United.
The match was Chelsea's heaviest defeat in any competition since their 0-7 loss to Nottingham Forest in April 1991.
Aguero has now scored eight goals in 2019, that's double that of any other player and also more than the total goals scored by 11 Premier League teams so far this year. Chelsea have scored only seven.
This is the first time since 1990 that Chelsea would concede four goals in consecutive away games and only Fulham-15 have conceded more goals in the Premier League in 2019 than Chelsea-13.

Tottenham maintained their status in the title race after beating Leicester City at Wembley by 3-1. Davinson Sanchez, Christian Eriksen and Heung-min Son got the goals for the Spurs as Jamie Vardy's goal was not enough to make a statement. The former England international also got his penalty saved by Hugo Lloris. Tottenham now have 60 points, just five points behind the table leaders.
Leicester are yet to win any of their last five Premier League games.
Davinson Sanchez became the 147th player to score for Tottenham in the Premier League, only West Ham also have as many with 147.
Since his debut in September 2013, Christian Eriksen has scored from outside the box 20 Premier League goals, more than any other player in that period.
Vardy has now lost 15 Premier League matches in which he scored, more than any other player in the history of the competition.
Tottenham have been booked for simulation four times this season, the joint highest with Arsenal.

Juventus maintain their unbeaten run in the Serie A after beating Sassuolo by 3-0 with goals from Sami Khedira, Cristiano Ronaldo and Emre Can.

Barcelona slipped to a goalless draw against Athletic Bilbao and they now lead Real Madrid with six points standing first with 51 points.
